Spring 2008

Dear Sailors,

Greetings and welcome to Sail Mycia's 2008 charter season. Like always, the Mycia crew has lined up a season of adventure and discovery, but this time guests are invited to join us! In addition to our traditional routes through Alaska and the Northwest, the Mycia is sailing in a parade of festivals.

On June 26th, Mycia visits our northern neighbors for Tall Ships Victoria on beautiful Vancouver Island, B.C. During four unforgettable days of revelry and celebration, we will commemorate the capital city's maritime heritage as part of a historic visit of over two dozen tall ships from around the world. This is also the 150th birthday of the Western province and is sure to be an unforgettable maritime spectacle.

Additionally, patriots can enjoy the jubilation of Independence Day with the Mycia on Puget Sound. July 3rd through 7th, the Mycia sails in Commencement Bay for four days of the Tall Ships festival in Tacoma, Washington. This is the second time Tacoma has hosted this prestigious international maritime event. During the festival, a two-mile stretch of the Thea Foss Waterway in downtown Tacoma will be transformed into three themed villages and filled with a variety of food, entertainment, merchandise, arts and crafts, and children's activities.

Following these festivals, the Mycia sails north to Port Alberni on Vancouver Island for the last leg of the Tall Ships circuit in the Pacific Northwest, July 7th through 12th. Our published schedule is still valid, but room is available for these alternative trips as well. Stay tuned for more updates and adventures aboard the Mycia.
